If you're reading this, you're probably wondering why I'm launching a blog in 2026, when every other agency is launching a podcast or a LinkedIn series. Fair question. Here's the honest answer: because writing forces me to think clearly, and clear thinking is the thing my clients actually pay me for.
This blog is going to cover three things, and three things only.
1. AI, Without the Hype
Every week I see a new "AI will replace your marketing team" post. Most of it is nonsense. What's actually happening is more interesting: AI is a force multiplier for people who already know what they're doing, and a crutch that exposes people who don't.
I'll share what I'm building inside Platon OS, what's working, what's wasting my time, and which tools are worth the monthly fee. No affiliate links, no sponsored posts, no "top 10 AI tools for 2026" clickbait. Just real field notes from someone running an agency that's 80% automated.
2. Local SEO That Actually Moves The Needle
Most "SEO tips" online are written by people who have never ranked a business in a competitive city. I have. I'll share what's currently working for service businesses in Texas, California, and elsewhere, with real examples (names anonymized where needed).
Topics I'll cover:
- Google Business Profile tactics most businesses are missing
- Review generation strategies that don't violate Google's terms
- Local schema markup and why it matters more than ever in 2026
- How AI-powered search is reshaping "near me" queries
- Landing page templates that convert for local services
3. The Business of Running a One-Person Agency
This one is personal. A lot of people ask me how I manage 15 clients without a team. The short answer is "I built the tools I needed." The longer answer is 15 weeks of posts.
I'll share the systems, the pricing, the mistakes, and the stuff nobody talks about. How much I charge and why. How I decide what to automate. How I say no to bad-fit clients without burning bridges. What I'd do differently if I started today.
If I can get one person to stop buying a $15K/month retainer they don't need, this blog will have paid for itself.
What You Can Expect
A new post every week. Usually Tuesday or Wednesday mornings. Each one will be 500 to 1,500 words, written by me personally, not generated by an AI and spit-polished. I use AI for research and structure, but the ideas and the writing are mine.
No paywalls. No email gates to read posts. If you want to get in touch, that's always the best way. If you want to see what AMP Digital actually does, check out the services page or the work.
Next week: How AI Is Changing Local SEO in 2026. I'll break down what Google's new AI Overviews mean for local businesses, and what I'm doing differently for clients right now to stay ahead of it.
Thanks for being here. Let's get to work.
